At echocentrum Ava, we offer different kind of fun ultrasounds. Please note that they won’t be covered by insurance.

We offer a gender determination scan (geslachtsbepaling) to see if the baby is a boy or a girl. We advise to plan these starting from 15 weeks of pregnancy. Note that it is never, in any case, a 100% sure determination.

We offer a regular 2D ultrasound (2D pretecho) to see the baby for fun.

We also offer 2D + 3D and 4D scans for seeing the baby in 3D en 4D (moving 3D images) too. It is allowed to film during the fun ultrasounds and we make some short clips and pictures for you to take home on USB.

Of course all our sonograms come with free prints of pictures. Note that for the gender determination and the long (35 minutes) 2D+ 3D and 4D scan, you can come back once if the baby’s position is not good and we cannot make pictures of the sex (gender determination sonogram) or if we cannot make a picture of the head (2D+3D and 4D scan).
